Aryadeep Roychoudhury, PhD, is Assistant

Professor at the Department of Biotechnology,

St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata,

West Bengal, India. He has over 22 years of

research experience in the field of abiotic stress

responses in plants with perspectives of physiology, molecular biology, and

cell signaling under diverse stress conditions. Dr. Roychoudhury is currently

handling several government-funded projects on abiotic stress responses in

rice and supervising five PhD students as Principal Investigator. To date, he

has published over 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in

books of international and national repute. He has edited many books from

reputed publishers and has also guest edited several special journal issues.

He is a regular reviewer of articles in high-impact international journals, a

life member of several scientific associations and societies, and the recipient

of the Young Scientist Award 2019, conferred by the International Founda­

tion for Environment and Ecology, at the University of Allahabad, Prayagraj,

Uttar Pradesh, India. His name is included in the Stanford University’s List

of World’s Top 2% Scientists.

Dr. Roychoudhury received his BSc (Hons.) in Botany from Presidency

College, Kolkata, and his MSc in Biophysics and Molecular Biology from

the University of Calcutta, West Bengal, India. He did his PhD at the Bose

Institute, Kolkata, under Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.
